Paint Protection

XPEL PPF

The first chip hurts the most… so prevent the heartache and keep your vehicle looking new with XPEL paint protection film (PPF). Not only will the film help protect against rocks, sand, and light abrasions, but it will also maintain your vehicle’s resale value.

Let’s face it; northern climate conditions can destroy your vehicle’s paint. Six months out of the year, sand and rocks are put on the roads to increase traction on the snow and ice. The other six months, drivers have to deal with elements of our construction season. Nothing will do a better job than properly installed paint protection film. We believe in evaluating impact zones with the customer to find the right coverage for you, and to ensure that the proper areas are protected.

Car Pretty Inc. was the first company in the 780 area code to use the XPEL software. We manufacture the XPEL Ultimate Plus paint protection film kits with computer cut precision to provide unmatched quality with a nearly undetectable finish.

XPEL Ultimlate Plus PPF

Constructed from a combination of advanced elastomeric polymers, XPEL Ultimate Plus’s special clear coat not only prevents the film from discoloring due to contamination and ultra-violet radiation, but also heals itself from swirl marks and light scratches that can occur through ordinary washing and drying or daily driving.

XPEL Stealth PPF

Built with the same elite self-healing and protective features as XPEL Ultimate film, XPEL Stealth comes in a satin finish that preserves matte paint. Matte finishes are known for being difficult to maintain and even harder to correct. XPEL Stealth not only prevents damage from road debris and bug acids but enables you to easily wash and dry your car without fear of changing the lustre of the paint’s finish.

Warrantied for 10 years.
No special maintenance is required.

Application

A successful application of the film requires 3 key components: Great software, great film and a great installer. You can’t have a successful installation if one of these three key aspects are missing.

1. You must have a great software program. Car Pretty Inc. uses the XPEL DAP software. XPEL has the world's largest and most comprehensive pattern database with over 80,000 patterns. These patterns are updated as new vehicles are released to the market. Other design houses make you wait until they release a new disc with the patterns every 3 months. This means, that we always have the best fitting kits available for your new vehicle.

2. You must have a great film. Our preferences are the XPEL Ultimate Plus and XPEL Stealth paint protection films. We have tested many different films that are currently on the market. XPEL is the film that we choose to use due to the high gloss, clarity and self -healing properties of the top coat that is on the film.

3. You must have a great installer. For the last 18 years, we have been installing film for the general public and Edmonton’s dealerships. With a combined experience of over 30 years, together we have thousands of extremely satisfied customers that refer us to their friends and family. This is by far the highest compliment any company can achieve. The installation team are professional, highly skilled and have worked on everything from a Toyota Prius to McLaren P1.

The original paint protection film was first formulated and developed by the United States Military. They required a film to be installed on the leading edges of helicopter rotor blades and other wearable areas. Then, the material was used on the race track where the racers wanted a little protection before the film found its way into the general retail market. In the early years of installing paint protection film, the film had a rougher texture (orange peel look), and for many years, was only available in a few common sizes. The largest film that was manufactured was a 48” roll, meaning if the customer wanted to have the full hood done, it would need to be seamed. During that time, the standard installation was only the hood, fenders, mirrors, lights and front bumper. Now, it is not uncommon for us to install the film to the entire vehicle.

If you are looking for an honest, experienced and detailed installation establishment, give Car Pretty a call to discuss your needs. We would be more than happy to consider all of your PPF requirements so that you can be happy about your vehicle’s paint for many years to come.
